A swirling kaleidoscope of colors
Rustles through my restless wandering mind
And threatens to crumble the barricade
Of thick white walls
I’ve tried so desperately to remain intact
Persistent patterned whirlwinds
Sway my staggering consciousness
And pull me deeper
Into a dense disorienting fog
While blindly reaching out for solid ground
Soft orange paws knead at my arm
And playfully pull me back
As glimmering golden eyes
Offer relief
